Drug Education is More Beneficial than Drug Legalization...

Drug Education is More Beneficial than Drug Legalization There are great numbers of people in Australia who believe that legalizing hard-drugs, such as heroin, speed, cocaine etc, would improve the drug problem. This may be a true statement, however such legalization is yet to be proven, and can cause some severe consequences, which outweigh the possible benefits. Such consequences include an increase in uncontrolled use and thus increases in overdosing and intravenous (I.V.) transmitted diseases. For several decades drugs have been one of the major problems of society. There have been escalating costs spent on the war against drugs and countless dollars spent on rehabilitation, but the problem still exists. Not only has the drug†¦show more content†¦Drugs should remain illegal in Australia because there would be an increase of drug abuse and a rapid increase of diseases such as AIDS. The belief that legalizing drugs would lessen crime exists in many communities. They point out that the legalization of drugs would deter future criminal acts and they emphasize prohibition. When the public realized that Prohibition could not be enforced the law was removed. This is true of alcohol, however drugs should not be legalized because there would be an increase in drug abuse due to its availability, of which there was little before. Once legalized, drugs would become cheaper and more accessible to people who previously had not tried drugs, because of the high price or the legal risk. Addicts who tend to stop, not by choice, but because the drugs arent accessible would now feed the addiction if drugs were made legal. These drug addicts would not be forced to kick the habit due to the availability of the drug they would partake eagerly. The temptation to use drugs would increase when news reports of cocaine, heroin and speeds legalization are shown on television and in newspa pers. Instead of money used by employed addicts, you will see welfare funds used to purchase drugs. If welfare funds were to be misused, a major problem in the economy could occur. My Writing Style Essay - 1173 Words

My Writing Style We all have a style, and it would seem that I wouldnt know another style, better than I know my own. However, I really wasnt aware that every circumstance causes me to change my style accordingly. It seems that we are all just actors and actresses, playing various social roles, and yet we think we are being our self. There were times when I was really nervous, perhaps before a job interview or meeting new people, and my mom would say , dont be nervous, just go and be your self. The self is an integration of the social roles we play and it is complex because we change our behaviors and our perceptions as situations dictate. I think I have a rather pleasant disposition, but I will let you be the judge after we explore further the other diverse style roles I take on, in my life . My insincerity isnt found in what I say to customers, rather its the way in which I say things, however, I definitely have a work lingo. This communication style certainly isnt one I use with friends. I dont ask how their doing and send them on their way. This is an example of two different situations when one style isnt always the appropriate one, and my interaction between my two families reveals even more about my communication styles. My parents and I converse about who will do the dishes and other essential household business. There is no unnecessary talking or formality used in our communication style. For example, when Im at my fiances house, I am as polite as I possibly can be. I always have wonderful conversations with them, but once again this communication style reflects the ways we interact with each other. At home, if there is a phone call for my mother, I wouldnt hesitate to yell at the top of my lungs from down in my room, Ma!.......Cmere and get the phone, its for you ! I am much more comfortable, relaxed, and basically less polite in my own home and my communication style definitely reflects this. Only thanks to the Rancho and his cleverness Monas baby is born. So, the director ultimately managed to look at Rancho from the other sight as a smart, responsive and resourceful young man, who is able to find a way out of any situation. After that Viru reconciled with Rancho and allowed him to make exams. But after receiving the diplomas, Rancho left the college without telling anyone, and since then guys do not know where to find it. Ten years passed. Chatur again appears in the life of Farhan and Raju to prove to them that he is the most prosperous. He convinces that he is aware of the place where to look for Rancho. So, they go to look for a missing friend. This trip will allow them to reveal a lot of new things, as well as to understand what Rancho has hidden from them for so many years. The main ideas of the film Ð ¡hetan Bhagat in his novel also depicts three main characters, â€Å"three idiots† but with another name. As we see, Ð ¡hetan Bhagat in his book sharply criticizes the education system in India. Rigid conditions, high demands, short intervals of projects implementation and exams make pressure on student`s psychics, who in difficult situations do not see any other way apart from suicide. â€Å"Three Idiots† also reveals the theme of parent`s impact on children`s choice in profession. It is one of the core topics in the film. Often parents deprive their children the opportunity to do what they like and try to convince them to ignore their interests. But this pressure can have negative consequences in the future as Chetan shows. For instance, Farhan wanted to be a wildlife photographer from childhood, but his father was against. As a result, the young man had bad results in engineering and managed to find himself and get success only when he took up his hobby as a profession. Another example in the film is Raju, who feels failure and uncertainty through his father`s expectations, so this leads to the attempt of suicide. In this film, as in the novel, Chetan sends important messages to society. But the main idea of the movie â€Å"Three Idiots† and according to Chetan is that every person is the creator of his own destiny, his profession, his life in spite of any obstacles, parent`s expectations and pressure. Chetan Bhagat as the author of the novel on which the film is based convinces that you just need to find your destination, go this way and be happy in it. This film also demonstrates how the wiseness of Rancho impacts on fates of other characters.
